Same product. Six platforms. One honest answer.
Headline fees lie. Enter your product once — this calculator applies each platform's full 2026 fee stack (referral, fulfillment, payment processing, plan costs), then subtracts your product cost, ads and expected returns, so you see what you actually keep on every marketplace.
Net profit per sale, by platform
| Platform | Platform fees | You keep | Margin |
|---|
Assumptions: Amazon referral uses Home & Kitchen (15%) and the 2026 FBA schedule incl. the 3.5% fuel surcharge; Etsy is US, no Offsite Ads; eBay is “most categories” (13.6%); TikTok Shop referral 6%. Open a platform below for its line-by-line breakdown, or use the dedicated calculators to change category, size tier, country and more.
Why the headline fee is never the real fee
Every marketplace advertises one friendly number — Etsy says 6.5%, TikTok says 6%, eBay says ~13%. None of them is what leaves your account. Etsy adds a $0.20 listing fee and payment processing on the total including shipping, which takes a typical US order to about 11%. Amazon stacks referral, fulfillment, storage, plan fees and, since April 2026, a 3.5% fuel surcharge on fulfillment. eBay charges its final value fee on the total including the sales tax the buyer paid. Shopify looks free of marketplace fees until you divide a $39–$399 monthly plan by a small order count.
That's why this tool works backwards from your settlement, not forwards from a fee table: platform fees first, then the costs sellers forget — inbound freight, packaging, ad spend as a share of price, and the expected loss from returns (we model a return as losing the product cost plus the outbound delivery, with percentage fees refunded).
